Barranca's lapidary diamond blades are manufactured in the United States. They are made from mechanically notched carbon steel (1050) cores charged and furnace sintered with premium grade industrial diamonds and metal powders. The diamond matrix is formulated to yield the maximum blade life. As the leading edge or outer circumference of the blade does all the cutting, there is minimum side clearance abrasion which minimizes marks on the cut material, premature segment wear, and core overheating. Notched rim blades are designed to perform under the most demanding cutting conditions for commercial, industrial, and hobby applications.

The 297 Standard series is the benchmark of the lapidary industry. Proven by years of reliable and quality cutting performance the 297 is suited for hobby and commercial use.

Since we are often asked about the speed at which a blade should be run, and how to find out how fast a blade is running, we have written this program. Given a blades diameter, the RPM of the motor running it and the diameter of the pullys at the motor and the arbor, this program will give you the arbor speed and the surface feet per minute of the blade. Keep in mind that this is a beta version, and that more functionability will be added.
